CHÉVANEV A.Y CHARLES
Mr Chevanev A.Y Charles is an honours graduate of the University of Westminster with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B), the City University, London and the IMO International Maritime Law Institute (Malta) with a Master of Laws with Distinction in International Maritime Law.
Mr Charles was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales (Lincoln’s Inn) in 2018, Bar of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in 2018, Grenada Bar in 2019 and St Lucia. Mr Charles’ areas of practice include Civil Litigation, Company law, Property Law, Family Law, Administration of Estate, with specialization in Debt Collection and Maritime Law, ship mortgages, registration and ship sale and purchase.
Mr Charles is an experienced legislative drafter and has drafted several instruments including: Shipping (Maritime Labour Convention) Regulations 2017 and STCW Regulations 2016, Shipping (Marine Pollution Prevention) Act 2019 as well as several others.
Mr Charles is a certified civil and commercial mediator with the ADR Group, London.
